Page history & changes

Nothing on a wiki is ever lost: every save is a numbered revision, and the History tab shows them all.

The timeline

Newest first, 50 per page. Each row carries:

• rN — a permanent link to that exact revision (/history/r4/wiki/Star Wars). Revision numbers are per-title and count up from r1.
• Chips for current, created, minor, deleted, and renamed from … when the save was a rename.
• A diff link, the time (your timezone), the author, the edit summary, and the size with a signed delta.

Renames lose nothing either: a renamed page starts a fresh timeline under its new title (its first row wears a renamed from … chip), a notice links the title’s previous names — each with its own full timeline — and the old timeline’s last row shows where the page moved to.

Viewing and comparing revisions

An rN link shows that revision fully rendered, with a notice saying what you’re looking at. A diff shows two revisions side by side — old left, new right — with the changed parts of each line highlighted and long unchanged stretches folded down to a line count.

Restoring an old revision

On any non-current revision, signed-in (verified) readers get a Restore button. Restoring saves the old text as a new revision — history keeps everything, including the versions after the one you restored. Nothing is overwritten.

Recent changes

Recent changes (site menu) is the whole wiki’s edit feed — every save, with the same chips, times, and deltas as a page history. Recent talk is its discussion counterpart: the latest threads, their post counts, and last activity.

Watching pages

Signed-in readers get a Watch star next to every page’s tabs. Your Watchlist (account menu) filters recent changes down to the pages you watch.
